We have just uploaded three new demo environments. For…

…QAFE with GWT technology : Click here
…QAFE with Adobe Flex technology : Click here
…QAFE with Adobe AIR technology: Click here

Technology independent
The multiple environments are testament to the fact that with the same QAML files, QAFE allows you to work with different technologies at the same time!

Live code
QAFE’s declarative way of developing is easy. In the menu “QAFE Labs” you find a menu item called “Try Me”. This “Try me” feature allows you to enter QAML code and execute / render it on the fly.

How?
In the “Try me” window there are two menu items: Render and Code.

With “Code” sample QAML code is placed in the text area. With “Render” the QAML code is rendered on the fly – either in GWT or Flex. In case of GWT, a new menu item will appear “Try Me” (in the root menu) and your application can be found there. In case of Flex a new window will appear with the native Flex application.

Tip: If want to make more interesting applications, use code from the QAFE Showcase. Just copy and paste snippets into the textarea (in the correct place) and take it form there.

Note: The “Try me” feature currently can only show the declarative UI part of QAFE. For the declarative enabling SOA part we need to connect to your resources (databases, java), which we restricted in this particular demo environment.

Forms Conversion
For live Forms Conversion from FMB files, we have built in a feature, so that you can give it a try!

How?
In the menu “QAFE Labs” you find a menu item called “Try Me”. See “Live Code” (above) on how to use this feature.

In this “Try me” window, there is an extra tab called Forms Conversion. If you click on this tab, you’ll be able to select an FMB file and when clicking on the Generate button, the FMB is analyzed and translated to QAML. The QAML output will be shown in the Insert Code tab so you can render it directly (see “Live Code” above).

Notes: FMB conversion is just a demo. Of course more is needed for a full conversion. The PLL’s etc. are also needed if being used. Logic is analyzed but obviously not executed (this goes for all the generated applications from the “Try me” feature).
