Some of you already requested some samples where it would be clear that QAFE is more than just another declarative UI.

The new version of the demo environment includes some fixes, enhancement and some new features to show you (like the datagrid with overflow!).

Also, some extra sample applications are included:

  • The Random Demo, utilizing the java.util.Random class and showing the the next value on the screen.
  • The Sysdate Demo, showing the output of a SQL statement (select sysdate from dual) for an Oracle database.

For both sample cases you can inspect the source code. Bottomline of the applications: Easy and all XML.

For example, with the Random Demo, you can see that ANYclass (which has an empty Constructor) is accessible! This is the only requirement we have for the Java Integration.

Have fun and don’t forget the “Try Me” feature.

p.s. For users using Chrome/Safari, when checking out the Source Code you probably won’t see anything. The remedy for this is to use the “view source” with the right mouse button in the source code window. Firefox and IE show you the QAML code directly, while Chrome/Safari show an empty page. When you use “View source” you’ll the unformated QAML (only goes for Google Chrome and Safari)
