As you know, with QAFE you can render all sorts of enterprise applications to several Web2.0 front-ends. For instance GWT (based on Javascript) and Adobe Flex (a plug-in technology). Unfortunately, because of security policies, plug-in technologies like Adobe Flex and Microsoft Silverlight are not always allowed inside corporations. Especially for such environments with limited browser capabilities QAFE now launches a safe connection through Adobe AIR.

Thanks to the Adobe AIR runtime QAFE’s enterprise web applications can now also be deployed as desktop applications as well. Providing all the conveniences of a desktop application while giving the browser a rest. Ensuring safe installations by requiring digital signatures on each AIR application to identify the application and its creator before install.

Want to try out QAFE in Adobe AIR ? Please subscribe to our newsletter: as soon as we have a demo version available (which will be soon) you’ll be the first to get notified!

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international community that develops standards to ensure the long-term growth of the Web. For QAFE that means that we propose the QAML, QAFE Markup Language, to be a standard. QAML has the unique feature that it combines technology independent declarative UI with declaratively SOA enabling backend technologies. The SOA enabling part is also in a technology independent way.

We are proud to announce that as of yesterday the QAFE product is included in the .Official Google WebToolkit App Gallery..
This App Gallery includes all kinds of applications that are created using the Google WebToolkit. The announcement of this App Gallery was made official yesterday (see this link) on the Google I/O conference. This conference was held in San Francisco and had some big announcements. One of them was the development of HTML5 and the role of GWT. The technological developments are very promising.

The best thing is that a customer can benefit from these developments without spending too much time in learning GWT or upgrading to the newer version of GWT. Using QAFE's GWT engine makes sure you can benefit from these development fast and easy.

QAFE chose GWT about two years ago and that choice made back then, proved to be the best one.
